Oh Lord that's a lot thrips! For some reason thrip Oh Lord that's a lot thrips! For some reason thrips like blue Solo cups. May take a day or so to lure this many.

I finally realized I need to coat the outside of the cup with oil (not the inside) and that immobilizes them.

Thrips are wreaking havoc in my light blooms like Laggerfield here. 😭

It's good to use spinosad and cutting the blooms off during treatment helps (take away their food source).

Capt Dead bug spray- Bonide ✅
Keeping grasses low ✅
Cutting blooms to not attract more ✅
Blue Solo cups w/ oil inside to trap ✅

What else can we do to fight thrips?! I read mustard seed oil in the blue 🔵 solo cups works best to attract and trap.

Today's bouquet 💐 brought to you by James Galwa Today's bouquet 💐 brought to you by James Galway (light pink), Earth angel (cream bourbon body), Tournament (pink) and America (salmon-pink). Russian sage added to give a little foliage. I like the Russian sage because it has purple flowers like lavender in a month.

It's hard to get James Galway in a case because even a decent looking rose may fall apart in your hands after you cut it. With 100 petal count, it must get exhausted and can't maintain the support for long. Still love it.
