Rose Study Garden at Cheekwood – as of July 11, 2021

The Rose Study Garden at Cheekwood has a two-fold purpose: provide a beautiful garden of roses for Cheekwood visitors to enjoy, but primarily to function as a teaching garden for new and experienced rosarians.

Following the July, 2021, monthly meeting of the Nashville Rose Society, we honored the memory of our friends, Sam Jones and Clayton Beaty.

The rose sign for “Crescendo”, the hybird tea rose planted in memory of Sam Jones, was replaced with an updated sign. Visit the Gallery for a photo of the new sign.

Hybird tea rose “Ring of Fire”, was planted in memory of Clayton Beaty. Clayton was the President/Owner of Beaty Fertilizer, Inc., and a friend of the NRS for many years, as a speaker, consultant and Vendor Day supplier. Members of NRS will think of Clayton when they apply Mills Magic Rose Mix to their gardens.
